Friday’s Flowers

Hello,

So, something just a touch different, but really fun to do. Start with a pretty flower, a nice neutral backdrop (I used a wooden cutting board) and some muted natural light (mine is back lit). Shooting top down, taken an establishing shot of your flower, positioned nicely, don’t just plonk it down, position it.

Then taking a pair of scissors cut & dissect the flower, leaves and all, placing the all the bits, roughly where they were in the original. When cutting through the flower, try cutting just above the bud. (PS to save your back, pick it up from the floor).dsc_9511

If you cut just right, pick up the bud (stem part) and see what is inside………this was probably more good luck than good management, but isn’t the inside just wonderful?

Who thought destroying a flower could be so much fun, and so beautiful.
